27 September, 1938 – Scotland RMS Queen Elizabeth

S RMS Queen Elizabeth is launched at the John Brown and Company yard in Clydebank, Scotland. She was the largest passenger liner ever built and named to honor Queen Elizabeth, a consort of King George VI of England and mother to Queen Elizabeth II.
